T-Sheets

This app is a Connective Accounting favourite - it’s really easy to use, has a whole bunch of features including time tracking and job scheduling, and you can sign up for a free 30 day trial to see if it’s going to work for your business (no credit card required!). After the 30 days it’s very reasonably priced too so it’s not going to break the bank. And it’s backed by QuickBooks Online, so you know it’s good. Find out all about it here.

Square

If you need a payment solution for your business, look no further than Square. Make it super simple and secure for your customers to pay in person or online - making sure you get paid faster. Does your job take you to your customer? Make payments easy with the Square Credit Card Reader ($59) which you can take with you to get paid before you’ve even left the job site. Check it out here.

Receipt Bank

Another Connective Accounting fave, Receipt Bank will make data entry that little bit less painful. Simply take a photo of your receipt, bank statement or invoice and Receipt Bank will store it and extract the data from it so you don’t have to. It really does take the hassle out of one of the more tedious and time-consuming aspects of running a business. No more hanging on to all those bits of paper. Google Drive

I probably don’t need to tell you too much about Google Drive - chances are, you’re already on to it! It’s really easy to use, free, and allows you to securely store your files, whilst also being able to access them from any computer or smart device. Learn more here.

QuickBooks Online

And last, but definitely not least, it’s QuickBooks Online! Affectionately known as QBO, this tool is going to make your life a whole lot easier. QBO has a bunch of useful features including invoices, quotes, automatically synced bank transactions, expense tracking and reports.
